so, WHat do mentors do?-2.png

Mentors attend weekly classes in small groups at schools around Perth.

Being a mentor means engaging with students as a positive role model and leading fun, hands-on activities designed to help students develop confidence in themselves as well as valuable life skills.

The activities, which are selected by the mentor group's coordinators each week, focus on building students' soft skills in areas such as teamwork, public speaking and problem solving.

The nature of these activities is determined by which of Ignite Mentoring's three programs your mentor group will be running throughout the semester—Resilience, Careers or ESL.

You can read more about our three programs here.
